Annual fire house open house held during fire prevention week

On Saturday October 11th, 2008 the Norwood Park Fire Department hosted it’s annul firehouse Open House. The Open House was from Noon –3PM. During that time our residents were able to receive free flu shots, talk to firefighters, view our equipment, and watch demonstrations. Kids were able to learn what to do in the event of a fire, have water fights, and make button with their pictures on then. After an appetite was worked-up everyone enjoyed hot dogs, pizza, sub sandwiches, cookies, and popcorn.

All of this was made possible from generous donations from:

  • Earl and Mary Field
  • Norwood Park Township
  • Resurrection Hospital
  • Village Towing
  • Rex Italian Foods
  • Tornado Manufacturing
  • Norridge Show
  • AlAir
  • Maurice Lenell Cookies
  • Domino’s Pizza

A special thanks to all of the Trustees, Commissioners, Harwood Heights Police, Firefighters, and their families that gave their time to make this a success.
