The Norwood Park Fire Protection
District prides itself on the quality of personnel. Every
firefighter is trained to a minimum of Firefighter II, Fire
Apparatus Engineer, and Emergency Medical Technician. Every member
knows the importance of constantly updating their expertise and
honing their firefighting skills. Many members have expanded their
training to specific rescue disciplines or supervisory
responsibilities. Members of the department are active in
MABAS Division XX Teams such as Hazardous Materials and Technical
Rescue to name a few.
Fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness / 2009 Open House
The Norwood Park Fireman's Association Local 4210 did a fund raiser for breast cancer awareness. During the open house and throughout the month
of October, the firemen sold over 700 t-shirts and raised over $7000 for breast cancer awareness.
